Development Process
You just want to get the job done. But sometimes you just don't know where to start.
CCND has been planning and managing Internet, Intranet and Extranet projects since 1994. We can effectively and efficiently plan and manage your project for you as well as deliver the end product.
CCND not only helps your company define goals. We anticipate mechanisms that need to be in place from the beginning so your company can easily and effectively measure the results when the project is finished.
No matter the size of the project, we use the same steps, going into more detail the larger or more complex the project:
- Initial Consultation: (meeting between CCND and Client, can be by phone) to understand Client's business objectives.
- Client Brief: (written summary of the Initial Consultation) provided to Client.
- Proposal: (including Agreement, Work Order and Project Timeline) developed by CCND and delivered to Client; upon Client acceptance and payment of any retainer fee, CCND is officially engaged on the project.
- Planning Phase: Meetings with the Client to develop project requirements.
- Solution Design: usually involves research; schematics or storyboards are developed by CCND, then reviewed and accepted by Client. Solution Design may go through several iterations for complex projects.
- Solution Prototype: delivered by CCND, reviewed and accepted by Client. The Solution Prototype may go through several iterations for complex projects.
- Solution Testing: user testing (often by the Client or Client's employees) ensures that the product makes sense to the typical end-user.
- Solution Development: delivered by CCND, reviewed and accepted by Client. This phase is not expected to be iterative.
- Product Testing: during Solution Development, the product is tested in a development environment that simulates the production server to ensure that the product conforms to established technical standards.
- Product Launch: the product is delivered to the Client or launched on a production web server.
- Measurement of Results: the result that the Client wished to assess is measured at regular intervals, usually by the Client, or by CCND per the Proposal Agreement.
- Project Modifications: If the Proposal Agreement so stipulates, the product is modified based on the Measurement of Results or due to a need to modify the product to keep it fresh or bring it in sync with changes in the Client's business.
